Hardy: GDM Login Window is SHIFTY
Every time I boot into ubuntu for the first time, when my video drivers aren't setup, everything is HUGE (low res). Ok, so after I install the proprietary drivers through "Hardware Drivers" and restart, the login window looks huge, but it's hi-res. So the actual login field is shifted from the center of the screen to the bottom-right corner. I can still type to log in, yes, but it's getting on my last good nerve.
I went to Screens & Graphics and set my primary display specifically by my monitor model, and checked "Widescreen" (I have a widescreen LCD monitor). I separately went into "Screen Resolution" and set it to 1440x900. At my desktop it looks great - no problem, but as soon as I restart, there's my login field all shifted to the bottom-right. Anyone know a quick solution for this?
