    Runs noticibly faster when I'm using the xubuntu desktop instead of gnome.

    I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.

    Runs like **** off a shovel, even with xubuntu, I need to get more RAM.

    AMD Semperon 1.6 Gh (mobo is 64 bit capable but I couldn't afford the Athlon 64 at the time)
