    Ati radeon x300se 128 mb ram
    80 gb 7200 rpm hdd
    OPTORITE dvd-rw
    "Azalia" high definition audio controller
    realtek NIC
    15" LCD monitor

    2.4 G'hertz intel P4
    1 gig ram
    NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 64MB

    Backup wheels:

    Athlon XP 2400+ (1.8* GHz)
    1 gig ram
    NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra 128 MB

    The AMD is way faster than the Intel, even though they are supposed to be approximately parallel. I don't do anything graphically intensive so its unlikely to be the video card difference.

    quite bumpy road to make this rig work as it should on most distros... working very good so far with Ubuntu and suse9.2

    Memory: Generic ddr400 256mb
    Video: Diamond Stealth 3D 3000 with 4mb
    (That's not a true 3D video card, but for 4mb of video the peformance is good.)

    Mobo: Can't remember .. =}
    Video: Trident PCI with 2mb
    Modem: US Robotics 33.6k ISA (yes thats why I keep it, when wireless fall , I use dial)
    *But this monster runs Slackware 9.1 + current I dont think put ubuntu for now.
