I haven't updated this in a while:
Laptop:
Acer Aspire 5610 (US model = no webcam)
1.73GHz Intel T2250 (Dual Core)
[Core Duo, or "Centrino Duo" if you prefer]
1GB RAM
120GB SATA HDD
Intel GMA 945 graphics
DVD+R burner (I've always wondered if it'll burn -Rs as it's a "Multi-Recorder" but was never brave enough to try)
Intel wireless, Intel audio
With all my media keys working
Display: 1280x800 LCD
Runs: Intrepid Alpha 3
Server:
Custom built as the result of quite a few "repairs":
1.3GHz AMD Athlon XP 1500+
512MB DDR RAM
40GB IDE HDD (been meaning to get a SATA or two, as I have ports)
Old Compaq DVD drive (which has no case on it because the thing that keeps the disc in the drive keeps getting magnetically attached to the roof of the case)
Samsung CD-RW drive
VIA audio
ATI Radeon x800 (AIW, but none of the inputs work with any existing driver) running the 'radeon'/'ati' drivers
Display: 1680x1050 ViewSonic VA226W over DVI
Runs: Hardy (Desktop)
Desktop:
HP Pavilion 742n
1.6GHz AMD Athlon XP 2000+
120GB IDE HDD
"hp cd-writer plus" CD-RW drive
Unlabeled DVD drive
nVidia GeForce2 (integrated) graphics running 'nv' drivers (the nvidia drivers just keep crashing it and displaying garbage)
Display: 1280x1024 LiquidVideo LCD (which is supposedly broken but has been working for the past few days, I think it was a sleep-related problem)
Runs: Hardy (desktop)
Wintop:
Note: This machine refuses to run anything under a Linux kernel. FreeBSD will be dualbooted in the near future. The only reason it has some of the best specs is because I built it all at work a year ago out of parts from what can pretty much be described as a trash can that happened to be pretty good.
Mobo is from an old Dell (with 3 PCI, no AGP, integrated Intel graphics that I don't use)
1.8GHz Intel Pentium 4
2GB DDR-400 RAM (which I need to run Windows, of course)
40GB IDE HDD
nVidia GeForce FX 5200 PCI graphics (... running the nVidia drivers for Windows)
Creative audio (which is being slaved to the input channel on my server, which then has speakers attached to it. The server has a better integrated audio card, though, as it has SPDIF and other goodies)
Display: The same 1680x1050 LCD as the server, but attached via VGA (and DVI doesn't even give me this resolution)
Runs: Windows XP
Complete with:
- cygwin including complete build environment, X server, SSH server/client, nano, and much much more
- Synergy client (input is handled by the server)
- Complete Apache/PHP/Mono web hosting system (not attached to my website yet)
- All of those programs from the bad old days I just couldn't leave behind (like, say, 3d modeling tools that cost oodles of money)
- And most importantly: Tango Icon Patcher and Clearlooks theme.
