I have been having fantastic luck with the Absolute Beginner forum for helping me solve my issues and problems...
However, I would be very keen on sitting down over a cup of coffee and hanging out with some like-minded open-source people. From what I can tell in the forums, folks are quite intelligent, interesting, and experienced within the world.
