Question [SOLVED] Installing Ubuntu in computer with broken CD drive

    Hi,

Anybody has any idea of how to install Ubuntu 8.04 in a laptop whose CD drive is broken and its BIOS doesn't allow booting from USB?

I would like to have a clean install with its partitions, without using Wubi to have Ubuntu "embedded" in Windows.

At the moment the laptop has installed Windows XP Pro.

PS: The solution "buying a new CD drive and replacing the broken one" is not valid at the moment

    Thanks in advance

You should be able to use UNetbootin to do that.
