That's stability.
If you want bleeding edge then please use rolling releases. Ubuntu is not one of those and shouldn't be.

Ubuntu's kernel follows a 3 week cadence for stable release updates for non-security related kernel upgrades.
Ubuntu never upgrades to newer kernel base versions though.
(ie, Ubuntu will update from something like 5.4.0-71 to 5.4.0-72 within at least 3 weeks,
but it'll never upgrade from the 5.4 base to 5.5 or newer.
Exceptions being for the hwe stacks, which move up until they reach the next LTS' kernel version then they stay at that for the remainder of the Ubuntu releases support)

Excuse me I did not mean time between release of two kernel versions. I meant time needed to upgrade (one) kernel. (I'm not native english speaker)

3 weeks doesn't seem that long.

I tried Manjaro and quickly came back to ubuntu. It's not as well supported. And it takes even longer than Ubuntu 20 to boot.

Speaking of which, Ubuntu 20 is veeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyy slow to boot. And then after you log in it is several more minutes before Chrome will open! In Ubuntu 18 those things were almost instantaneous.

And, drivers don't work as well as they did in ubuntu 18.

Support. If I ask really stupid questions that I answer myself within a couple of hours, I get lots of answers. If I ask a question that continues to drive me absolutely buggy, noone ever answers it, and part of the reason why could be admins moving my posts around on me! Really, it's not like no thought went into where to post it to begin with and then maybe noone ever even SEES it.

And, I submitted a bug report on a driver that doesn't work and it was ignored. I was told to submit a post about it on a forum and that was ignored too. No, nothing was wrong with the post. Something is wrong with the support!

I agree. My system updates to a new kernel about every two weeks - and then I have to recompile my internet driver. What please could possibly require that.

And why does my system need to update every day and sometimes more than once.
