I thought Football Manager was available for Linux under Steam?

I really like Ubuntu but I didn't know it would be such a hassle to get the DVD player to work. Now that that is done, no problems. I also have Mint 19 installed along side 18.04. The mint DVD player worked from the start. Having said that, I do slightly prefer Ubuntu over Mint. I use both and have different Apps on them, but I find myself using Ubuntu more.

Seems like you are expecting wine to be the panacea of running executables under nix?
Not all executables (windows) work with all versions of wine. It's a lot of fiddling and with getting used to compatibility and living with incompatibility.

The zoom issue with acer (desktop) has been my sole dig.
