    wifi network not connected at login

    just setup ubuntu on my laptop and have installed 7.10 and installed ndiswrapper as i couldn't get the wifi working but i have a problem that i have on ALL my ubuntu installations witch is that when i start the computer i'm not connected to my network and i have to click the network icon then my network (ssid) then it connects?

    also i get disconnected sometimes and have to do the above..

    does the connection have a wep key or is it open?
    I think you have to assign it a keychain index in 7.10 to automatically connect to a protected network

    anyone?

    all i wanna know is how do i connect to a (any) wifi network a login automatically..
