    dark theme

    i want to use a dark theme in gnome...
    i downloaded all kinds of dark gtk2 themes..
    all of them make the panel black, wallpaper black, window borders black...only things that stay black are the task bar items and the menu background once opened....please helpppp......

    logg off log in doesnt change anything btw

    Dont quite understand what you're getting at. Are you wanting EVERYTHING to be black, or just certain things?

    I know Ive had to tweak things to my liking before, especially Emerald themes and most recently a GTK theme that was messing my panel up.

    its like i downloaded a black gtk theme which is supposed to give dark colors to everything...somehow it doesnt change application theme colors they stay grey and also the menu background stays grey ...they dont change color with any theme i install

    So are you changing the window border *and* the application theme?
