    [SOLVED] Sound in kaffeine gone after upgrade to hardy

    I recently upgrade from Gusty to Hardy.
    Upgrade run smoothly. But Kaffeine lost its sound.
    Any idea how to fix this?

    For starters I'd maybe try reinstall of kaffeine and /or checking in settings -> xine engine parameters -> audio. Try picking alsa from driver box and see if mixer software is checked

    If you run kaffeine from the terminal does it display any error messages? Has anything else lost sound?

    Also its always a good idea to do a fresh install, it seems like every time you upgrade something breaks no matter what unfortunately...

    Follow the suggestion.
    Reinstall,
    change xine parameter,
    adjust mixer.
    Problem solved.
