    Question Playing VCD

    Guys, please guide me how to play VCD's on Ubuntu? Which codecs do I need to use?

    To say the truth I tried a lot but failed to play VCDs in Ubuntu in Gutsy. But I managed to play VCDs in Feisty. Go the following link and see whether the info works in your Ubuntu.

    I would seriously recommend you to use GeeXboX, a live media player distro.

    Install VLC and open the vcd and Open the VCD with the "Open Disc..." option, and select DVD instead of VCD. and it works
