    fglrx Issue: DRI locking deadlock

    Hey there,

    In my efforts to install compiz on Hardy, I really mangled my video driver setup. Following a lot of tries to revert to what I had before (compiz disabled for now, I just want a working desktop), here is what I have:

    fglrx drivers installed
    Dual-head mode setup
    Both monitors are working, and in the correct resolution.

    My xorg.conf file is below. The problem I'm having is a locking deadlock with DRI between the two fglrx drivers (0 & 1) for the two heads. Aside from the fact I don't have direct rendering working, it also fills my Xorg.0.log file to no end with the race deadlock. I'm pretty sure something is wrong in my xorg.conf, but after a lot of tried, I can't figure out what exactly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Any help?

    I've tried reinstalling fglrx from the latest ati binary (8.476). As soon as I turn on dual-head (using aticonfig), same problem comes up. So I'm starting to doubt the problem is in my xorg.conf, though I know dual-head has worked before, so there must be something wrong...

    Rolling back?

    It is possible to install an older version of the fglrx driver that does not have this problem? If so does anyone know what the last working version was?
