Open Arena won't go full screen (mouse doesn't work either)

All I can say is I'm able to navigate the menues with the keyboard, but the mouse doesn't move around nor can I get it to stay in fullscreen any longer than a split second.

What should I do to fix this?

Try first by disable compiz - common problem. It will properly taken care of you problem.

i had a similar problem with the mouse - i went into OpenArena graphics options and turned the fullscreen toggle to OFF. OA stayed fullscreen, but the mouse works now at least.
