Hi, I would be really grateful if someone found the time to help me out on this.
I have a Toshiba Satellite pro A120 with a centrino duo T2400 processor but Hardy Heron does not recognize the dual cores.
Runningresults inCode:uname -a
Which from what I have read is a i686 and SMP kernel that should be okay for this processor.Linux leon-laptop 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10 13:23:42 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

I then checked the BIOS and multi core processing is switched on, I am now completely stumped. Has anyone got anything I could try?[ 6.423280] SMP alternatives: switching to UP code

As a side issue my laptop is also running incredibly hot and freezing up once or twice a day, but one thing at a time!
It worked perfectly under XP but I really dont want to go back.
