No wired ethernet connection after open ldap update

Hey guys and gals,

I've run into an issue with my network card, after the recent openldap update to HARDY. Every timw I install it (I've narrowed it down to openldap after many installs), it kills my network connection.

I'm a bit of a noob to ubuntu, and please realize that my linux machine is offline and pasting certain ouputs is unrealistic. However, any help would be apreciated. Thanks

btw ... I'm using the onboard lan on my mobo with the RHINE II driver
