Hi, Have a new Lenovo 3000 n200. Installed hardy on it and had issues with stability - had no errors though. Install gutsy on the laptop and no stability issues but onboot I see a message which begins PCI: failed to allocate mem resource In another thread (regarding a different laptop) someone replied saying this was a kernel issue and would be fixed in hardy. Which explains why i didn't see it when using hardy. Just wanted to confirm this was the case for this laptop too? thanks
I had the same problem with my Acer laptop with 7.10 After installing 8.04, the problem was gone.
I had the problem in Gutsy on this HP Pavilion dv2600. Problem is gone in Hardy.
Hi, Thanks for replies - yeah i didn't have it in Hardy. I'll go back to Hardy soon as its a bit more stable. Had issues with installing software and then rebooting and all panels disappearing. Rebuild the laptop 3 times on hardy. Same thing each time. Thanks
