8.04 Hardy Intel 82815 graphics controller
I'm hoping someone know's how to help me out of the box.
I was able to get 1600X1200 on Gusty from the install with no problem...
When I installed Hardy I seem to be locked in @ 800X600
I have spent about a day surfing for a solution... Tried a bunch of stuff.. Nothing worked....
I'm starting to learn more than I care to about xorg.conf.
How is it that things worked great in Gusty and seem to have taken a nose dive in Hardy.. What's the deal with that??
I suppose all the time and attention is going to people with hind end machines....
I found an .rpm on the Intel sight for the 82815 chipset.. I'd really prefer not going that route since I'm a noob at this stuff. Is there a better solution??
Any help would really be appreciated. Btw... Here is what my xorg.conf currently looks like:
Thanks in advance..
