Is this normal? Suddenly unable to listen to audio/video.

Just a moment ago I was listening to some songs on Banshee. Then I close Banshee, browse the net for a bit, then go to YouTube and attempt to watch some videos, and the video loads with no sound for 3 seconds and then stops. This is strange, since I've successfully watched YouTube videos before. Also, now when I go to listen to songs in Banshee, I can't listen to them - they won't play. What could have gone wrong?

it happens sometimes when using multiple apps that use sound...
so far some progress has been made on this however, the sound issues were always a tough nut to crack.

Ah. After some experimenting it seems that if I restart, and then don't open Banshee, I can watch videos fine. It's only when I open Banshee that problems start occurring...and they can be resolved by restarting, anyway. Thanks for the help.
