    Or

    (just change d3a with the theme you want)
    Code:
    cd /home/<username>/.themes
    sudo cp -r  d3a /usr/share/themes
    sudo gedit /etc/gdm/gdm.conf
    Now I changed under [gui]

    GtkTheme=d3a
    GtkThemesToAllow=d3a

    To be more clear when i download theme Test i exctract them to desktop.so now i have directory Test on my desktop.
    cd Desktop
    sudo mv Test /usr/share/themes/
    enter password
    and then i change to theme Test trough theme preferences.
    Like this i got root application skied too.
    Tried that too, still nothing. I'd really like to get the icons in sudo nautilus working more than anything else. Still getting errors like...

    Code:
    (gnome-theme-manager:8429): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_icon_info_get_filename: assertion `icon_info != NULL' failed

    (gnome-theme-manager:8429): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_icon_info_free: assertion `icon_info != NULL' failed

    (gnome-theme-manager:8429): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_icon_info_get_filename: assertion `icon_info != NULL' failed
    Any ideas?

    Did you try my way? (posted above). There might be some complication when doing it with one of the default themes that comes with ubuntu.

    Hi there,

    Whilst trying to change my some resolotion settings in properties for the panel, I lost all taskbar panels, they flash up at start up and keep on flashing up, then dissapear, how do i get them back. All i was doing was changing the resolution, not setting them to hide or anything.

    Steve.

    Sounds like bug.

    Code:
    gnome-panel
    | AMD Ryzen 1700x 3.4 GHz | ASUS PRIME X370-A | 32 GB 2400 Mhz DDR4 |
    | ASUS Nvidia 1070 8 GB | SSD 250 GB | HDD 1 TB |
