Exclamation [URGENT!] XAMPP For Linux - Undeletable?

    Hello all,

A while ago I installed xampp for linux, which ran fine, anyway for the last 2 days I have been trying to remove it because I am now running apache under a mandriva virtual machine (Virtualbox OSE)

    My problem is this,

I have removed the install with the command given on the website, but XAMPP still thinks it is there, to a certain degree... whenever I connect to localhost on ubuntu it either says connection refused or something about permission denied to /opt/lampp... I would tell you what it says exactly, but it is giving me connection refused.

I belive this is interfering with my apache webserver on mandriva.

    Someone PLEASE help me!

    Yours Sincerely,
