Dell printers are a rebranded Lexmark. Lexmark is known for not being Linux friendly. Probably the easiest way to get it to work would be to use a Windows machine as a print server.It's not working with 8.10. The driver isn't listed on the Dell drivers thing in Ubuntu either when you first connect it.
