    Sound cards

I want to setup Ubuntu Studio for recording my songs. I'm looking for a studio typevsound card with 8 analogue ins and 8 analogue outs as well as digital lines. Can someone suggest a compatable card with these specs.

    Thanks

I would go for the Delta 1010LT.
It has good ubuntu support and 10 in and 10 out.
    Google it for more information.

    Re: Sound cards

I have access to an old MOTU 828 (mk1) rack mounted firewire card, do you know if that will work?

    Cool Re: Sound cards

Not that I know of... but you can google around a bit. And it worth at least plugging in to see.
But according to my searching I couldn't find it working.
    Sorry, :/
