What should I use?

To get files saved on my hard drive using a Live linux CD what should I use?

I have Slax burned onto a disc already and it works, if I could get those files off my hard drive, how would I go about doing it?

I cant run XP until the hard drive is formatted.

You could make a backup using Slax. I'm not familiar with what software comes with it. Slax should have a CD/DVD burning software of some kind.

If you have another computer with enough hard drive space you could use rsync to sync its hard drive contents.

Slax has a burning rom. The problem is, is that XP crashed and wont run, and the hard drive is for a lap top, ill give it a try though.
