    super user password?

    Hi

I am trying to enter super use mode:

    su

But the password I give is incorrect. I only created 1 login when I installed, and I should be the administrator (hopefully). I am entering the same password as my login. I can use this password to sudo everything but it gets rather annoying.

If I am not the super user, who is?

no-one! ubuntu doesnt install a root account by default. rather, it give you, the first user super user privilages through sudo. for example sudo command - and it wil promt for YOUR password. it basically stops hackers tryign to exploit a root account, and they cant as it doesnt exist.
