ePresence & red5 on ubuntu

Hi, has anybody tried to setup ePresence and red5 on ubuntu.
I followed this guide, even used 7.04, everything went fine but when I try to login at the conference screen it stops responding.

i have it working to some capasity on ubuntu 7.10 running on xsp2 with mono i am having some troubles though something about the page not inheriting epresence.allmsgform or something.... and i'm trying to get red5 going but..... as of this writing its a no go.

I should also note that this is on an amazon ec2 image
