I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 on a very old desktop with an nVidia TNT M64, 32 MB video card. I installed a few updates a couple of days ago and shut down, now the max resolution I can get is 800x600, which really sucks. Its using the nv driver, which doesn't seem to work with my card. Hardware device manager says its a RIVA TNT Model 64. Don't think my card is a RIVA. Something is definitly up b/c it slowly buffers before playing a movie. Did any old video drivers get cut out on updates? Can anyone help? I hate the giant icons.
