"Link to..."s broken in Hardy at ?

Hardy fresh install from LiveCD on AMD K7 desktop. Any new or old "Link To.." that contains a '?' (question mark parameter) opens Firefox with the URL TRUNCATED AT THE '?'.

Simple to create. Drag the link icon (left of the URL box) from this or any message here in the forum to the desktop. Does the link work? Does the URL stop at the '?'?

Reverted to Firefox 2.0.0.14 - no help.

Replaced ? in the link with "%3F" - seems to be a site-dependent workaround.

Been unsuccessfully looking for the *.desktop launcher. I imagine this is somehow involved.

No problem with Firefox launchers containing URL parameters. No problem with bookmarks.

Am I the only one in the world seeing this? If I missed something, please shoot a link.
