    Num lock not working properly

I have just upgraded from gutsy to hardy, now my num pad doesnt seem to want to work. The num lock led comes on at boot up as it did before, but i cannot actually enter any numbers with the num pad now

i have tried with the led on and off (just in case it had become reversed or seomthing)

    any ideas guys please?

Re: Num lock not working properly

    system/preferences/keyboard [mouse key tab]
    uncheck the box.

numpad will work again with figures and will not move the mouse

    Very useful thread.

That's a strange default setting IMHO.

*bump* _lifesaver_ I had the horrible choice of using either KDE where my wireless isn't working or Gnome where my numpad keys were only moving the mouse pointer around (worst default setting ever btw). Now I have at least one functional desktop, woho.
