What I want to know for sure is, Does this work also for Gutsy GIbbon 7.10?
does not work on the fujitsu T4220 Tablet
Doesn't work here (laptop)
Terminal output :
Code:flamelab@flamelab-laptop:~$ su root@panagiotis-laptop:/home/flamelab# sh /etc/acpi/video_brightnessup.sh grep: /proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCD/brightness: No such file or directory /etc/acpi/video_brightnessup.sh: 35: cannot create /proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCD/brightness: Directory nonexistent root@flamelab-laptop:/home/flamelab#
Been to Arch , got advanced : )
There is a workaround in 7.10: just adapting the script manually.

another workaround is using the gnome panel brightness applet.
just add it to your panel and use the mouse wheel to make it go up or down, works great.

One of the last hardware problems on my Dell Inspiron 1501.
Works nicely on a Compaq Presario M2512 AU. Thanks!
