    Animations and Slide Transitions in OOo Impress

    Hey all

    When I make a presentation in OpenOffice, if I use animations or slide transitions, they are very choppy, if they work at all. Is anybody aware of a solution for this?

    I'm running 8.04 on a laptop with a Centrino Duo proc. and 1 GB RAM

    I've found if you have Compiz (extra visual effects) turned on it can mess with slideshows, especially with AWN running as well.
