Hi, most Spanish Ubuntu users already know this but I thought it would be cool to let you overseas guys know. On Wednesdays our national TV airs this humour show called Muchachada Nui. This week one of its recurring characters, Enjuto Mojamuto, an Internet addict who's only seen in front of his computer downloading movies, chatting, using twitter and posting on forums and blogs, claimed to use Ubuntu.
You can watch the video here. For those of you who don't know any Spanish, it goes something like this:
Commenter - Enjuto! Enjuto!
Enjuto - Look at this, I just got an e-mail. And it says "I love you".
Commenter - I'll better just shut up.
Enjuto - let's see who sent it.
Virus - Hi, I'm the "I love you" virus and I'm basically gonna mess your operating system up! Ha ha!
Antivirus - Sorry but no, you're not. I'm the antivirus, and while most people think we aren't good for anything, that's actually not true.
Virus - I'm warning you, I'm hardcore, I'm a worm virus!
Antivirus - So? So?
Virus - So you're a <snip>.
Antivirus - Look who's talking, you must be like... at least... five years old, or something!
Virus - I'm rubber you're glue, your words bounce off me and stick to you.
Enjuto - Hey hey, wait a sec. I don't give a damn about you both.
Virus and Antivirus - Say what?
Enjuto - I have just installed the U... untu system.
Virus - What system?
Antivirus - Ubuntu, he faltered so he wouldn't give them free advertising.
Virus - But Ubuntu is free isn't it?
Antivirus - You're asking me? How should I know?
Enjuto - So you can both <snip> off right now.
Virus - That's a let down.
Antivirus - Yeah right.
Virus - What are you gonna do now?
Antivirus - I... nothing, I guess.
Virus - Wanna come over and have something to eat?
Antivirus - Alright, and play some Risk afterwards?
Enjuto - How cute, they made friends in the end.
Maybe not the best character to be stereotyping Ubuntu users, but it's good that the name is getting some attention anyway
