    ubuntu fiesty fawn display problem

    I am using a dell inspirion B130 and I have lost signal to display although LCD looks active. Do not know how to display desktop.

    did you try to restart x ctrl+alt+backspace

    just tried that combo, but not sure if it has done anything because i cannot see the display. It does make some sounds but not sure what for... sorry, i am new to this.

    I can however hook a monitor up to it and the display works fine by switching to it using the <fn> key.

    any other suggestions for getting the display to work?
