    Can't start netbeans

In the package manager, the latest version is 5.5, but they've released 6.0 on their website, so I decided to install 6.0. I've done that, but I have no idea how to start the program. It's not in my applications list, typing 'netbeans' into the terminal only yields:

The program 'netbeans' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing:
    sudo apt-get install netbeans5.5
    bash: netbeans: command not found

and I've tried searching my computer for the program, but ubuntu's built-in search doesn't seem to work. any help?

there should be a netbeans folder in your home folder, you should find it in there
Free as in freedom, not as in beard.

    hm...doesn't look like it.

I'm sure I installed it...when I open up the installer again it gives a warning saying everything's already installed and all

ah nvm...when you mentioned my home folder I realized it I installed it as root. When I didn't put sudo in front it appeared in my home folder. Thanks
