internal dvd burner issues

I have Liteon sata internal dvd burner, this works great with vista.

when i try using ubuntu 7.10, it works till the end and finally says that
flush cache and then bails out

till now, i could not write even a single dvd using Ubuntu.

Any help is appreciated.

Try installing k3b to burn disks with. You can install it with the following command without quotes "sudo apt-get install k3b" inter that in a terminal window and it will install then look under applications -> sound & video to find it.
