7.10 Server SMTP POP

Hey everyone,

I am going to be converting an application from a WAMP platform to a LAMP platform in a couple of days and I have all of my documentation ready to assist me in the LAMP portion of the install.

My question is how do I install a mail server on this box. I think I need one because the app I am running needs to be able to send email via smtp and receive mail via POP.

The app that is running on the WAMP server is a PHP application and I know that it sends email via smtp and receives it via POP but it looks like it uses the PHP script itself to send and receive.

Anyway, if anyone has a good howto or tutorial they could point me to in case I need it then that would be great.

The last time I installed the Server edition it asked if I wanted LAMP, FTP server, Mail server and a couple of other things.. Just tick the boxes and go..
