How large a partition is needed for Ubuntu and OpenSuse?

I just found out that by moving /home to its own partition, I can access it from multiple OSs. Since I'm interested in the next version of openSuse, I thought this would be nice, but I'm not sure how large I should make the partition that will house Ubuntu and Suse. Any thoughts?

BTW, if it matters, I'm following the directions in this Psychocats How-to.
nVidia GeForce 5200, SB Live! 5.1, Pentium 4, and 775 MB RAM kept together nicely inside a Desktop PC.

Make it as large as you can. There go your settings and everything else you want to stick in there.
