How to Access MediaWiki

Hello. Finally I figured out what I need to ask. Yesterday I installed the file on my Ubuntu Server. I am running Ubuntu desktop as well.

I would like to know how to access the wiki via Firefox on the computer AND I would like to know the terminal command line.

I need to become productive on it immediately because "they" are watching to see how difficult it is to learn this stuff.

I just took a look at your blog, and may I say, very interresting stuff you are doing. I wish you luck.
But remember that Rome wasn' t built in a day, and learing Linux and then especially this kind of stuff takes a bit of time and patience.

Having said that, I took a look at this page:

which i am sure you already have seen yourself.
From what I know, if you want to access a lampserver, that is properly set up, you should be able to just browse to it using it' s IP address. You should automatically be directed to the index folder where the website is hosted (I guess you could call it that...!). Please don' t quote me on this, since I know just about as much as you do about this. But good luck, perhaps I was able to point you in the right direction.

Thank you. I am a bit confused though. I thought Linux, Apache, MySQL all came bundled together with Ubuntu Server and when I installed one, I had them all. Is this not true? Do I need to install them again?

I printed the pages you directed me to along with the files for configuring the other programs.

Your help has been very much appreciated. If I can "show something" for my efforts quickly, they will think its all up and fine. No one else will have to know how to do the command line stuff, just me. They would (if they ever except it) would only use the desktop and such programs.

Oops. I was not able to find the pages you sent me to. I only had the Ubuntu pages, you directed me to the Ubuntu Server pages. I am having a bit of a time navigating the site I guess.

You are a great help. Thank you. I am going to be reading those sites and I have printed several of the pages. I do need to know if I need to reinstall that stuff. Or maybe I should just to be on the safe side?

I was not online anymore so I couldn't reply.
You probably won't need to reinstall. However, the new Ubuntu server is coming out tomorrow. In which case you might want to start anew.

Like I said, I don't know much of the stuff myself, but I will gladly help you google and tinker whenever I can
Just keep your blog updated (please add the link in your signature), this is very interesting from a learning perspective.
