First Cup of Ubuntu
I am using an DEll OPTIPLEX 745 and a BenQ FP222W 22" Widescreen 1680x1050 monitor. Howeever, when I installed Ubuntu 7.10, I find that the resolution seems to be restricted to 1280x1024 using the vesa driver ( can not use the resolution 1680x1050 ). I have tried other options, but it does not work. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to solve this problem. Thanks!

In Windows it is showed that ATI Radeon X1300 vedio card is used. I am not sure that what is driver is needed in the Ubuntu, since I am newer. I ever went to BenQ official website for looking for the linux driver, but I find nothing except the Windows XP driver. Could anyone give me some advice?
