    uninstalling software on wine

I tried uninstalling software on wine, but I still get the menus in the applications area. what is the point of having a uninstall feature if you have to remove itself. So can someone tell how to do it correctly.

Hey I had this same problem and there are several threads that resolve this.

Basically you need to remove these files manually. First go to your hidden files in your home directory.

    Places>/home/<your user name>/.local/share/applications/wine/Programs

from here you can just delete these files manually.

    good luck!!

Actually the point is removing extra values in your Wine registry. An also maybe removing programs more completely (you never know where the installer has stashed files).

Thumbs down Re: uninstalling software on wine

The answer is here ubuntus(fan of Ubuntu like me)

"wine control" it will open add/remove programs for you so you can add or remove any wine (windows)programs.
