    My girlfriend needs a laptop...

She says she will spend between $500 and $700, but I think she can get away with a computer from $300-$500, The only problem is I can't find one that cheap. Mine was pretty cheap, but Vista didn't run on it. I think if Vista sucks on her laptop I might have to install Ubuntu. Any suggestions?

I was going to suggest a ZaReason, but they seem to be out of stock on the 15" laptops (which were the ones in your price range).

Get a Dell, they come in lots of different nice colours (that's what girls look at first... ) and you get a Dell with Ubuntu pre-installed.

THey have like 89 to choose from

I recommend HP, don't recommend Toshiba.

This HP looks worthwhile...be sure to read the reviews on the products you check on newegg.com they are really helpful.

You can also get a girly-pink Dell with Windows installed.

Watch your local retailers deals. They can bring the price down to $300. Online will only get you to $400 probably.
