I paired my Blackberry 7100i just fine but after scanning all 30 channels they all report as "closed or denied". Am I out of luck? I would LOVE to have this work.
Thanks!

Interesting, will give it a try as soon as I arrive to my home... I have a blackjack and a nokia will try both and post the results
Got it! Best thing EVER!
Works great with my Verizon-crippled Motorola e815!
If you want to make this even more fun, mix it with X10 to control your lights.
I've got my instance of BP muting/restoring volume, locking/unlocking a Windows PC, and if I can get Pidgin to cooperate, I'll have it setting my IM status..
Much fun from BP..
Great How to, thanks! I'm having a problem though. When i turn the bluetooth off on my phone (to simulate leaving), all i get is a silver key, and what looks like a red power plug on the system tray icon. The status says no connection found trying to establish one. I've paired the phone and laptop, and i am using your settings that you advised. The bottom Measured atm is greyed out for me ( i dont know if that's normal, just figured I would give as much info as possible.) My phone is an LG EnV, with the default Dell 9300 Bluetooth.
Thanks for any input!
Edit. I should add, when i turn the bluetooth back on and am close to my computer they key turns green, so i know it works.
Edit 2 : I restarted and it works fine. Thanks for this!

This is a really neat set up, but unfortunately, I value by battery life on both my laptop and my cell phone. Is there any way to set them up to ping each other less, or reduce the power used or sometihng?
