Ubuntu Linux is Great! Just made the switch 2 days ago! I'm using a Compaq V2013 (aka HP dv1000) and it detected everything but the winmodem and firewire ports! Now I'm still dual-booting into XP as I need my Connection(56K that is)! other than that, it's better than I expected!

I've been duel booting Ubuntu 5.04 and Windows 2000 for about 4 days now. So far I've found Ubuntu to be very nice.
