Hi, I think the best solution is to visit an ISP for guidance. But from my experience, you will not be allowed to use the .ke but .co.ke is permissible.
Registering a .co.ke domain is a little more arcane than with some domains, but by no means that difficult. As Ronald mentioned, most Kenyan ISPs can do this for you, but be careful that they don't try and tie you in to an expensive hosting plan... Full details of requirements for registering a domain can be found here: http://www.webhostkenya.co.ke/domain.php I have no idea what that company is like, but domain registration with them is KSH3000. The domains of kenya are either .or.ke (equivalent of .org) or .co.ke (equivalent of .com). The site above claims to be able to register .ac.ke too, but you'd need to be a university or school to get this sort of domain (it is the equivalent of .edu). Another important thing to note is that lalthough anyone in theory can register a Kenyan domain, only a person or company actually resident in Kenya can run a website there. HTH.
Hi there, If you would like i can registre the domain for you, I work for an ISP and we have an account at KENIC (.co.ke registrar of kenya) you will simply have to pay the basic charges, make sure yu have a host, and details of the NS1 and NS2. If you preffer to get another registrar, go to www.kenic.or.ke and search the registrar's listing
