Alexander Sack, who's working on the possible integration of NM 0.7 for Hardy, has packaged it for testing, and would like your feedback before pushing it into Hardy. Packages are available in his PPA.
Please test and report bugs and your experiences in this thread (and not the network-manager source package in Launchpad). Remember to cite the chipset and driver of your network hardware, and the encryption standard you're using (WEP, WPA or WPA2).(No, you shouldn't be using WEP.)
"lshw -class network" will provide info on your hardware. For privacy, you may want to remove the "serial" line it produces, since it's the MAC address of your device.
Be warned: this will probably break your networking at some point. Make sure you know how to recover before going ahead.
