    Question Mythbuntu HP Proliant

    Hi,

i'm new to myth, ubuntu and linux, but i definitely want to give mythbuntu a try

anyway, i need to setup a backend on my server and a frontend on my pc next to my tv. The frontend is no problem, although the backend is.

when i boot from the cd, i get a busybox screen, wehn selecting to install or boot cd. when i use the ubuntu 7.10 server, i don't have this problem at all...

my machine is an hp proliant ML350 G3 with a Smart array 431 controller and scsi disks installed.

    any ideas ?

    cheers
    P

Can you boot a Ubuntu Live CD? Have you tried safe graphics mode?

    Re: Mythbuntu HP Proliant

well, the ubuntu cd would start installing normally, so i installed ubuntu, and then ran an apt-get mythbuntu-desktop, which installs mythbuntu over ubuntu (does the changes)

but if you can't run the ubuntu cd, it's another problem i'm afraid...
