    Disappearing Bottom Pane;

    Hello--

    I've been happily using Gutsy for a couple of months now. However, yesterday the bottom panel failed to appear upon bootup. The only thing I can think to do is make a new panel with the desktop icon and the other usual functions of the regular bottom panel.

    Can anyone offer other suggestions? Thanks in advance

    Easy fix: don't reboot!

    Seriously though, what else are you running desktop-wise? Any programs that could effecting the panels? compiz/beryl?

    Also. Right click the panel and hit properties: Is it set to auto-hide maybe?
