    You can't.

Virtual machines have virtual hardware, your video card technically doesnt exist in the virtualized world.

    Sorry.

To add to what Delvien just said, make sure you install VmWare Tools after you install whatever OS you are 'virtualizing'. You already have the "tools" and don't have to download anything but you have to install them. Click on the menu a bit and you'll see a place to do it. Apparently VM tools has the drivers, virtual or real ( I don't know .. it is confusing) for many of the functions.

I don't believe there is any 3-D, one of the drawbacks to Virtualization.

I spent a lot of time reading and clicking trying to straighten the resolution, sound, and printing out after installing XP. Finally it all fell together after I realized I had to install the tools. Then it worked but it was frustrating getting there.

Going into vmware Edit/Preferences menu and clicking on Displays, and then clicking on the two options really fixes any screen issues I had.

Everything seems to work perfectly... I've been using it for months, first on 32-bit Fiesty, then on Gutsy, and now on 64-bit Gutsy.

Take a look at my screenshot.

Good luck trying to run a game in a virtual machine. Technically its possible but the overhead will be big. Much better to run the game natively.
