Freespace 2 Installation for Gutsy

Hello.

I am trying to get Freespace 2 working with my installation of Ubuntu Gutsy.

I am attempting to use the installer provided by Turey. (http://www.fsoinstaller.com/)

I downloaded the necessary packages to get the .jar file to run... however... I am now left with an installer screen that does not respond.

I can't click any of the buttons and it eventually greys the window out.

I have let it run for a good amount of time to account for the fact that it may be just chewing on something, but no dice.

Does anyone have any suggestions or links to fixes for those experiencing a similar situation? I'd love to give this game a try.

Do you have the retail version (windows) installed or copied?

This thread on the FSO wiki may help, if you havent already looked there.

I have used FSO for quite some time now on windows, (I actually did some coding and wiki-ing) but never put it on Linux, so I'll try it tonight to see if it works for me.

The installer works just fine for me (although I actually just queued up the files to download, then quit and copied them from my windows directory). Could you be more specific on how you are running the installer, and what versions of java, etc. you have?
