Vmware converter

I have dual boot OS in my PC : Ubuntu and XP.
How can convert the XP to run under Vmware as a guest OS and Ubuntu as a host ? Does the Vmware converter do it ?
Can I use the physical partition of the current XP installation or do I have to add memorey ?

I just used the first method and it worked perfect the first time with the Window 2000 hard drive I have. So now I can boot into Gutsy, and boot my Win2000 disk in a VMWare session.
